Fall Hydrant Flushing

The City of Lafayette will send out a Public Alert notification on Monday, September 26, 2022 to alert residents and businesses of the city's fall hydrant flushing. The flushing will begin Tuesday morning, September 27 from approximately 7 am until 3:30pm and daily thorough September 30th or until the work is completed. You may see sediment or discoloration this time, if you draw water while the flushing is occurring in your area.

The Adolescent Chemical Wellness Advocates (ACWA) coalition invites you and your family to a Nicollet County Community Night on Wednesday, September 14 at the St. Peter High School. In addition to a free meal and a resource fair, Cory Greenwood, a national speaker, will share a message supporting mental wellbeing. Cory is a professional at tackling tough subjects and inspiring healthy conversations, creating an accepting and supportive environment for students and families.

2022 Community Band Concerts and Pie Social Dates

The Lafayette Community Band, which is over 100 years as an organization, has set their schedule for the 2022 season and Friday night Pie Socials are also set!
The Band will have its first performance at the Legion's Memorial Day program on Monday, May 30. They are always looking for new members! If you play an instrument and are interested - contact Joe Hoffman 507-276-0426
June dates - Mini Park Band Stand - 3, 17, & 24 June 8 is at the Bernadotte annual Pie Social
July dates - Mini Park Band Stand - 8, 15, 22 & 29 (no concert on July 1 due to the 4th of July holiday break)
August 27 at the annual Lion's Hog & Corn Roast
The Pie Socials are community events at which local organizations put on a light meal prior to the band concert as a fundraiser for their group's purpose. This is a great way to meet and support organizations in and around the Lafayette community! The bonus is no cooking or cleanup for seven Friday nights this summer!

Saturday, May 21st will be the first city-wide cleanup for residential properties. Guidelines are posted in the Residents tab under Sanitation and Recycling. All items must follow the guidelines and be to the curb before 7 am; many put out the night before.  The second cleanup will be in mid-October
